Banner of the MFL Training Camp

Training Camp is one of the available Mutant Football League game modes. It's an ingame tutorial for new players. In this mode, the players can learn how to control their team in different game situations.

Kick Returns[]

Kick Returns is the first Training Camp session to play.

  • Select Receive
  • Kick Return Plays
  • Kickoff Returns

Select a play [Q], [W] or [E] and begin.

Running[]

Running is the second Training Camp session to play.

  • Formations & Plays
  • Snap Ball
  • Run for a First Down
  • Score a Running TD

Select a Formation ([Q], [W] or [E]):

Important elements here to focus on are Line of Scrimmage, the 1st Down Line and the Endzone. If a player can run through and reaches the Endzone, the team will earn 6 points.

Basic Run Controls:

  • Player Motion [←] [→] [↑] [↓]
  • [S] - Spin Attack
  • [D] - Straight Arm
  • [A] - Dive
  • [W] - Hurdle
  • [L Shift ↑] - Speed Burst

Passing Clinic[]

Passing Clinic is the third Training Camp session to play.

  • Passing Drill
  • Score a Passing TD

Select a Formation ([Q], [W] or [E]):

Important players here on the field are Receiver 1 [D], Receiver 2 [S] and the Running Back [A]. Players must throw the ball to the Receiver with the "throw" text over the head and find a way to run through to the Endzone.

([Q]/[L Shift ↑] to show the ways the Receivers and Running Back will take.

Kicking[]

Kicking is the fourth Training Camp session to play.

  • Formations & Plays
  • Field Goals
  • Punting
  • Kickoffs

At the beginning of this session, the players must choose Special Teams with [Q] and select Field Goal. There are other options, but this session is about kicking the ball with [S]. The game then takes the players in front of the Goal Post. A Kick Meter to the right shows the players the distance and the sweet spot where they must release [S] again.

Field Goal Scoring[]

0 - 39 Yards = 3 Points
40 - 49 Yards = 4 Points
50+ Yards = 5 Points

4th Down Options[]

  • Field Goal - Out of Range
  • Go for it - Too Risky
  • Punt - Safest Option

Defense[]

Defense is the fifth Training Camp session to play.

  • Formations & Plays
  • Defense Controls
  • Tackling
  • Run Defense
  • Pass Defense

Select a Formation ([Q], [W] or [E]):

Attack and Goal Line have more Defenders on the line of scrimmage, Cover has less.

And select a play ([Q], [W] or [E]):

Attack Plays:
Blitzes to stop run plays & pressure the Quarterback.[1]

Cover Plays:
To stop pass plays with a focus on Receivers.

Defense reacts to run or pass plays.[2]
